Privacy Policy
How we respect and protect personal information.
1. Who is responsible for your information
Dajosha Prime Living operates the booking and guest experience described in this policy from Cape Town, South Africa. Privacy enquiries and requests may be sent to management@dajosha.com.
2. Information we collect
We may collect identity and contact details, booking dates, guest numbers, residence preferences, requests, account details, correspondence, payment status and transaction references, device and security information, website usage, saved sanctuaries and records required to operate or protect the service. Paystack processes payment credentials; we do not store full card details.
3. How we use information
We use information to quote, create and administer reservations; verify payments; provide guest access and support; remember saved sanctuaries; communicate operational updates; prevent fraud and misuse; improve the service; keep appropriate records; and meet legal, tax, safety and regulatory obligations.
4. Lawful grounds
We process information where necessary to perform or prepare a contract, comply with law, protect legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, protect vital interests, or where you have given consent. You may withdraw consent where consent is the applicable basis, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
5. Sharing and service providers
Information is shared only as reasonably necessary with the booked residence or authorised property representative, Paystack and financial institutions, website and email providers, professional advisers, fraud-prevention or security providers, and public authorities where legally required. Providers are expected to protect information and use it only for authorised purposes.
6. Cross-border processing
Some service providers or guests may be outside South Africa. Where information is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps to use lawful safeguards and appropriate protection consistent with the Protection of Personal Information Act.
7. Retention
We retain booking, payment and support records only for as long as reasonably required to provide the service, resolve disputes, meet tax and legal obligations, prevent fraud and maintain appropriate business records. Information that is no longer required is securely deleted or de-identified.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including access controls, secure payment processing, verification controls and system monitoring. No internet service is risk-free; suspected incidents are assessed and notifications are made where legally required.
9. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we hold your personal information, request access or correction, object to certain processing, request deletion where appropriate, withdraw consent and complain to the Information Regulator. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
10. Cookies and website data
The website may use essential cookies for security, sessions, saved preferences and checkout. Optional analytics or marketing technologies should operate according to the choices presented by the cookie banner. Browser settings may also be used to control cookies.
11. Children
The booking service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly invite children to create independent accounts. Information about minors should be supplied only by an authorised adult where it is necessary for a booking.
12. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy when services, providers or legal requirements change. The current version published on this page applies from its displayed update date.
